Welcome to our new apprentices
Today we warmly welcome our new apprentices who are starting their professional journey with MENZEL Elektromotoren. An apprenticeship is more than just vocational training, it is the foundation for a career, and often also the beginning of a long-term connection with a company. For us as a family business, it is a matter of the heart to accompany young people on this path, to provide them with guidance and support, and to open up perspectives for their future.
A tradition of training and responsibility
The training of young professionals has a long tradition at MENZEL. Already in the 1970s, company founder Kurt Menzel actively supported vocational training in Germany and abroad. In cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency and the Berlin Senate, he initiated training programs for specialists and future leaders from countries such as Mexico, Jordan, Chile, Tunisia, and Thailand. The idea was simple but powerful: to enable young people to gain high-quality training here in Germany, so they could later take on responsible roles in their home countries. For this commitment, Kurt Menzel was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1977.
This spirit still guides us today. Good training does not only serve the company, but above all the young people who, with knowledge, skills, and confidence, can take their next steps in life. At MENZEL, many colleagues began as apprentices and have since developed into experienced specialists, foremen, or even team leaders. Some have been part of our company for decades and still remember their own first day here.
Fair conditions, strong support
Our apprentices benefit from fair compensation right from the start, 30 days of vacation, and, with good performance, the opportunity to shorten the training period. But what truly makes the difference is the way we work together. We want our apprentices to feel welcome from the very first day, to know that questions are always appreciated, and to experience that they are an important part of our community.
MENZEL is a third-generation family business. That means we rely on long-term thinking, personal responsibility, and trust. Our culture is shaped by openness, collegiality, and appreciation. We work with and for one another and this is precisely what apprentices notice when they become part of our team.

At MENZEL, people from different backgrounds, countries, and generations work side by side. Some colleagues have been with us for over 40 years, others are just starting their careers. Apprentices quickly discover how much they can learn in such an environment. They gain professional knowledge and practical experience, but also learn what it means to collaborate, to take responsibility, and to grow together with others.
Training for the future
We train primarily for our own needs with the clear goal of keeping our apprentices in the long term and offering them a secure perspective in our company. This benefits both sides: our apprentices receive a qualification that gives them real opportunities in the labor market, and we gain motivated colleagues who know the company and its values from the ground up.
We also encourage personal growth and responsibility beyond professional training through exchange programs within our group of companies, through active participation in projects, and through involvement in our company culture, which thrives on commitment and participation.

The start of an apprenticeship is always something special, full of expectations, curiosity, and maybe even a little nervousness. We want to give our new apprentices the certainty that they have chosen the right place.
